Military plane crash in Algeria: PM offers condolences to Algerian Prime Minister

(TAP) - Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, on Wednesday, had a telephone conversation with Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia to offer his condolences following the crash of an Algerian military plane that killed 257 people.

Chahed expressed the total solidarity of Tunisians with the Algerian brotherly people and their compassion with the families of the victims, according to a statement from the Prime Ministry.

An Algerian Air Force plane crashed on Wednesday at Boufarik airport (Blida), near Algiers.

At least 257 people have died in the disaster, according to the Algerian press agency (APS) which stated that "most of the victims of the crash that occurred at 7:50 am are soldiers and their families."
