Cabinet meeting adopts series of government bills and decrees

(TAP) – A cabinet meeting held on Wednesday at the Government Palace in Kasbah, chaired by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, adopted a series of government bills and decrees of an economic nature.

Bills :

- A Draft law approving the loan agreement concluded on 13 January 2019, between the Tunisian Republic and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the financing of the State budget support programme.

- A Bill approving the loan agreement concluded on 13 December 2018 between the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the Republic of Tunisia for the financing of the integrated agricultural development project in Sejnane, Ghezala and Joumine (Second phase).

- A Bill approving the loan agreement concluded on 13 December 2018 between the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the Republic of Tunisia to finance the project to improve the supply of drinking water in rural areas in the governorate of Bizerte.

 

- A Draft law approving the grant agreement concluded on 13 September 2018 between the Republic of Tunisia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) for the financing of preparatory studies for the electricity interconnection project between Tunisia and Italy.

- A Draft Organic Law approving the Agreement on Cooperation in the Maritime Transport, Shipping and Commercial Ports Sector between the Government of Tunisia and the Government of the Republic of Sudan.

Draft government decrees: 

 

- A Draft Government Decree adopting the final reports of the Commission for the Census of Land in the Private State property in the Governorate of Kasserine (the delegations of Hassi El Ferid, Fériana and Majel Bel Abbès).

- A draft government decree on the adoption of the list of persons concerned by the regularization of the situation of State agricultural land located in the governorates of Tozeur and Medenine, by private sale, as well as the prices of these properties.

-A Draft Government Decree on the organisation of the Ministry of State Properties and Land Affairs.

- A Draft Government Decree on the establishment of a national and regional commission to monitor price trends, regularity of supply, fight against smuggling, monopoly, parallel trade and lawless stalls and food safety.

- A Draft Government Decree on the appointment of members to the Board of the General Insurance Authority (IGA).

- 14 draft government decrees relating to the establishment of the territorial boundaries of the following municipalities: El Kef, El Kssour, and Kalaat Senan (El Kef), Sejnane, El Alia and Menzel Bourguiba (Bizerte), Zaghouan, El Fahs, Nadhour, Bir Mcherga, Zriba, Djebel Oust (Zaghouan), Mareth (Gabes) and Sened (Gafsa).

The Cabinet meeting also examined the action programme aimed at improving Tunisia's ranking in the "Doing Business 2020".
