Tunisia, Qatar sign 10 co-operation agreements as Joint High Commission meeting wraps up

(TAP) – Tunisia and Qatar signed 10 agreements and memoranda of understanding at the end of the 7th session of the Joint High Commission held on Saturday in Dar Dhiafa, Carthage.

 

The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Youssef Chahed and Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.

 

The agreements and memoranda of understanding are the following:

 

- Co-operation agreement in maritime transport between Tunisia and Qatar.

 

- Memorandum of understanding between the Tunisian Ministry of Transport and the Qatari Ministry of Transport and Communications on maritime and commercial ports

 

- Memorandum of understanding for mutual recognition of sailing certificates

 

- Agreement on air services between the two countries and beyond them

 

- First executive programme of the 2019-2020 youth and sports co-operational programme

 

- A memorandum of understanding regarding business events and tourism

 

- Third executive programme of the cultural and artistic agreement for 2019, 2020, 2021

 

- Memorandum of understanding on industry promotion, innovation, creativity and technological upgrading

 

- Memorandum of understanding for twinning between the municipalities of Tunis and Doha

 

- Minutes of the seventh session of the Tunisian-Qatari High Joint Commission
