(TAP)- Prime Minister Youssef Chahed met on Saturday in Tunis with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Quoted in a prime ministry statement, Guterres said his visit to Tunisia is the first as UN Chief. "It will be an opportunity to support Tunisia\\'s efforts in democratic transition."

Guterres called on the international community to support Tunisia not only in the consolidation of its institutions but also in the areas of development, employment and the future of its youth.

The UN secretary-general said he understood the economic difficulties and security challenges currently facing Tunisia because of the direct impact of the Libyan crisis on Tunisia
