Chahed pledges to step up control of distribution circuits ahead of Ramadan (Slim Saadallah)

(TAP) – "Prime Minister Youssef Chahed said all commodity products will be available in the month of Ramadan and pledged to step up the control of distribution circuits in partnership with ministries concerned and the Consumer Defence Organisation," president of the organisation Slim Saadallah said on Monday evening.

"This is to monitor the operations of supply and reduce monopoly and price speculation,” he told reporters after a meeting with the Prime Minister in Dar Dhiafa Carthage.

Saadallah also said he informed the Prime Minister of the “difficult living conditions of the Tunisian consumers a few days before the month of Ramadan, in light of the shortage observed in certain consumer products such as eggs and milk and high prices for others, especially potatoes
