(TAP) - President Beji Caid Essebsi performed Wednesday the Aid el Fitr prayer at the Malek Ibn Anas mosque in the Tunis northern suburbs.

He was accompanied by Speaker of the House of People\\'s Representatives Mohamed Ennaceur and Prime Minister Youssef Chahed.

Several personalities were also present, including Mufti of the Republic Othman Battikh, advisers, ministers and representatives of several diplomatic missions to Tunisia.

In his Eid preaching, the Imam of the mosque reviewed the high virtues of the month of Ramadan, highlighting the aspects of mutual aid and solidarity that distinguish this month as well as the importance to preserve family ties.

Caid Essebsi extended a message of greetings to Tunisians, at home and abroad, praying the Almighty for many happy returns to the Muslims in serenity and prosperity
