“Exceptional measures to be shortened" (President Saied)

 President of the Republic Kais Saied, on Thursday, declared that «the exceptional measures will be shortened.»

Speaking during a Cabinet Meeting in Carthage Palace, he specified that «the text relating to the proposed dialogue will be examined during a next Cabinet Meeting.»

This dialogue will be held in an innovative way with citizens, in Tunisia and abroad.

«The exceptional measures were taken to save the state and the people," he added, quoted in a Presidency statement.

The head of state reaffirmed his determination to «guarantee the rights and freedoms provided for by the Constitution,» adding «democracy should be genuine and not tainted by hypocrisy.»

«Tunisia has entered a new stage in its history which requires new visions to manage public affairs, outside the traditional frameworks and concepts.»

«The structures of the state continue to work actively,» he indicated, asserting the continuous communication between the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Ministry and the various other institutions.
