Cabinet meeting approves several bills and government decrees

(TAP) - A cabinet meeting was held Wednesday at the Kasbah Government Palace under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Youssef Chahed.

The Cabinet approved several bills and government decrees. It reviewed presentations on the social situation, the health map and the employment issue.

The Cabinet approved the following bills:

- Draft organic law amending and supplementing the organic law 2014-16 of May 26, 2014 on elections and referendums.

- Draft law on the criteria for dividing constituencies and determining the number of seats.

- Draft law on the creation of a national agency for the management of public advertising and subscriptions.

The Cabinet also approved the following government decrees:

- Draft government decree laying down the conditions and procedures for granting the benefits provided for in Article 62 of Law No. 2017-66 of December 18, 2017 on the Budget Law for the year 2018 relating to the employers’ contribution to social security system for print media companies.

- Draft government decrees on the organisation of the territorial boundaries of the following municipalities: Bechli-Jerssin-Blidet (Kebili governorate), Bir Lahfey, Mansoura, Menzel Bouzaiene and Jelma (governorate of Sidi Bouzid).

- Draft government decree on conducting a campaign against locusts.

The Cabinet meeting heard presentations on the social situation, the health map and the action plan of the Ministry of Health concerning the supply of medicines and health surveillance.

The Council approved the draft individual decrees on the civil service and on public enterprises and institutions
