(TAP)- Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh received, on Monday, at the government palace in Kasbah, members of the parliamentary group of Ennahdha led by its president Noureddine Bhiri.
The meeting focused on the general situation of the country and the latest developments related to Covid-19 and its social and economic impact, said a statement of the Prime Ministry.
Fakhfakh called for the need to unify efforts and to exploit the climate of cohesion, cooperation and coordination between all the parties which has been illustrated in the management of the coronavirus crisis in order to mark out the ground for the next stage.
The Prime Minister indicated that he will hold meetings with the rest of the parliamentary groups supporting the governing coalition in order to strengthen governmental and parliamentary solidarity and coordinate efforts to establish traditions of joint work between the Government and parliament, speed up the drafting of legislation and implement reforms.
The Prime Minister also met with members of the democratic bloc on Monday afternoon.
According to a statement by the Prime Ministry, the talks focused on "the general situation in the country and the concerns of certain regions" and the assessment of the actions carried out by the Government in the management of the COVID-19 crisis.
Elyes Fakhfakh said on this occasion that "the situation in the country and the social problems that arise require all parties to assume their responsibilities and avoid political escalation that could weaken the ability to meet the challenges encountered
