Tunisia – Greece: Boosting pace of investment and development of maritime trade

(TAP) – Prime Minister Elyès Fakhfakh received Monday in Tunis Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, who commended, on this occasion, Tunisia's success in "controlling the Coronavirus pandemic".

The meeting was of strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and Greece, particularly in the economic field, consolidation of friendly ties, boosting of the pace of investment and development of maritime trade between the two countries.

Both sides discussed during this meeting the preparations for the 11th session of the Tunisian-Greek Joint Commission and the fourth session of the political consultations between the two countries.

The meeting also focused on "regional and international issues of common interest to support efforts to strengthen security, peace and stability in the Mediterranean region", a statement issued by the Prime Ministry reads.

During this first visit of its kind since 2008 to Tunisia, the Greek Foreign Minister met President Kais Saied, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Noureddine Erray
