(TAP)- Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi ordered on Monday, all governors to impose a curfew in their regions as of Tuesday, October 20.

This was announced at the end of a working session chaired Monday morning by the Prime Minister, in the presence of the Interior Minister and several senior security officials.

The meeting focused on the security situation in the country and the recent events in the city of Chebba (Mahdia governorate) following the decision of the Tunisian Football Federation to freeze the activities of the Croissant Sportif de Chebba, a Prime Ministry press release specifies.

The emphasis was laid in this regard, on the extent to which citizens comply with the curfew instructions.

Mechichi was also briefed on the progress of the investigation into the kiosk incident in Sbeitla, affirming the need to enforce the law and punish whoever is responsible.
