Prime Minister receives PTPDT Constituent Committee chairman

May 20, 2011 - TAP - Tunisian Patriotic and Democratic Labour Party (PTPDT) Constituent Committee Chairman Abderrazek Hammami pointed, at the end of his meeting, on Friday in Tunis, with Caretaker Prime Minister Béji Caïd Essebsi, to the concordance of views between his party and the Government on all political, economic and security issues in the country.
Mr. Hammami told TAP news agency that the meeting had notably turned on the issue of security and the real dangers the country is facing, after the sneaking of terrorists into the Tunisian territory, as well as the complicated situation on the southern border.
He called on Tunisians to close ranks and confront terrorism to preserve the country's security, warning in the same regard against interference of foreign sides in Tunisia's internal affairs.
He also said that he had presented proposals about the judiciary and security systems' output and called in particular for putting an end to excesses and speeding up the judgement process of the vestiges of corruption.
PTPDT Constituent Committee Chairman said that the Prime Minister had expressed compassion towards the death of a party member in the city of Slimane.
