The Chief of Government is Paying a Visit to Qatar on 19 and 20 May 2013

Tunisia, 17th of May 2013 - At the invitation of Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, the Chief of Government Mr. Ali Larayedh is paying a visit on 19 and 20 May 2013 to meet the Emir of Qatar, Qatari Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the State of Qatar to further enhance cooperation and partnership between the two countries in various fields. The ministerial delegation accompanying the Chief of Government will held bilateral meetings with their Qatari counterparts.

The Chief of Government Mr. Ali Larayedh will participate on the second day of the visit (20 May) at the thirteenth session of the Doha International Forum during which he will deliver a speech at the opening session.

The 13th Doha Forum will be held from May 20 to 22, and is expected to be attended by a number of heads of states and governments, a wide range of political figures and decision-makers, academics, businessmen, journalists, experts, parliamentarians and representatives of international and regional organizations to discuss the most current issues in the international arena. The forum will address the pressing issues related to politics, global economy, the Arab Spring, human and women’s rights, development and democracy building, reforms, investment, international peace and security.

During the opening session the Chief of Government will met some of the heads of states and governments and other participants in the forum.

It is noteworthy that the Tunisian-Qatari relations have been strengthened since the revolution of 14 January 2011 so that the number of official visits between the two countries has increased. The outcome was the signing of a significant number of agreements in the fields of investment, finance, energy, environment and vocational training.
