(TAP) – Prime Minister Habib Essid instructed President of the General Authority of Martyrs and Wounded of the Revolution and of Terrorist Operations Majdouline Cherni to attend the funeral of the two women fatally injured in the explosion of a mine on Monday.

Khira Ben Helali and Cherifa Helali were fatally injured in the explosion of a mine in a town at the foot of Mount Samama, delegation of Sbeitla (Kasserine).

The Prime Minister gave instructions to provide moral and material assistance to the families of the deceased, reads a statement from the Prime Ministry.

Lieutenant Colonel Belhassen Oueslati, spokesperson for the Defense Ministry had indicated, earlier in the day, that a third woman was injured and taken to the regional hospital in Kasserine.

The explosion occurred while the women were heading to the mountains to pick alfalfa, he said.
