Mr Moncef Hergli
Secretary of State to the Prime Minister in charge of Privatization

Mr. Moncef Hergli was born on 10 January 1948 in Sousse.
He took his primary and secondary studies in Sousse. He graduated in economic sciences from the University of Law and Economic Sciences of Tunis and a obtained a Doctorate of State Certificate in economic sciences in 1973 from the University of Economic Sciences of Paris and passed the agrégation examination in economic sciences in 1980.
Mr Moncef Hergli started his career as an assistant lecturer at the University of Law and Economic Sciences of Tunis, then as a professor in the same institution from 1973 to 1980. He taught as a senior lecturer at the University of Law and Legal Sciences of Tunis and Sfax from 1980 to 1985, then as a professor of Economic Sciences at the Higher Institute of Commercial Studies (IHEC) of Tunis and at the Higher Institute of Management (ISG) of Tunis.
Mr Moncef Hergli was appointed as the director of the economic department at the University of Economic Sciences and Management of Tunis from 1986 to 1989, then as the director of the Centre of Studies, Researches and Publications from 1991 to 1996. He was the General Director of the Center of Studies, and Social and Economic researches in Tunis from 2000 to 2001.
On January 2001, he was appointed as the President of the University of Mannouba, till 4 September 2002, date of his appointment as the Secretary of State to the Prime Minister in charge of Privatization.
Mr. Moncef Hergli was also a scientific adviser at the Secretariat of State of Technological and Scientific Research. He wrote many books in the economic field.
Mr. Moncef Hergli is Officer of the Order of 7 November.
