The National Agency of Computer Security has been created by law n°2004-5 dated 03 February 2004 in order to carry out a general control of the security of the informatics systems and networks of the different public and private organizations. In fact, it is in charge of the following missions:
- To see to the implementation of the national orientations and the general strategy in the matter of the security of the informatics systems and networks,
- To follow-up the implementation of the plans and programs relating to the informatics security in the public sector except for the applications particular to the defense and national safety and to ensure the coordination between the intervening parties in this field,
- To ensure the technological monitoring in the field of the computer security,
- To establish the standards specific to the informatics security and to elaborate technical guides in the subject and to proceed to their publication,
- To work to encourage the development of national solutions in the field of informatics security and to promote them in accordance with the priorities and programs which will be fixed by the agency,
- To take part in the consolidation of the training and retraining in the field of informatics security;
- To see to the implementation of the regulations relating to the obligation of the periodical audit of the security of the informatics systems and the networks.
